Existen pocos registros de este felino silvestre, por lo que es muy difícil conocer en profundidad su estado poblacional e interacciones con otras especies. Sin embargo, un visitante en el Parque Nacional Torres del Paine en Chile logró avistar un ejemplar in fraganti mientras cazaba.
Observar la naturaleza en su estado más íntimo y salvaje es un espectáculo que tenemos la suerte de vivir en la @RutadelosParquesdelaPatagonia gracias a que el 91% del territorio está protegido como Parques Nacionales. Pero para que sea una experiencia en armonía con la vida silvestre, les compartimos algunas recomendaciones:
• Cuida su hábitat natural, ocupa sólo los senderos habilitados. Recuerda que estás de visita en su hogar.
• Si tienes la suerte de avistar una especie, respeta su espacio y desplazamientos. Mantén la distancia y no los alimentes.
• Sigue las instrucciones de los guardaparques, quienes se preocupan del manejo y resguardo del parque.

There are few records of this wild cat, so it is challenging to know its population status and interactions with other species in depth. However, a Torres del Paine National Park visitor managed to spot a specimen while hunting.
Observing nature in its most intimate and wild state is a spectacle that we are lucky to experience in the @RutadelosParquesdelaPatagonia, thanks to the fact that 91% of the territory is protected as National Parks. But to make it an experience in harmony with wildlife, we share with you some recommendations:
• Take care of their natural habitat; use enabled trails. Remember that you are visiting their home.
• If you are lucky enough to see a wild animal, respect its space and movements. Keep your distance and do not feed them.
• Follow the instructions of the park rangers. They are responsible for the management and protection of the park.
